We Could Be Heroes

Just for one day though. Apologies for the missing entry yesterday and the lame entry today. Time is still tight, so I’ll just throw out a link to 5 Questions Season Two of Heroes Had Better F#@king Answer.

Unlike a certain show about people stranded on a mysterious island that we won’t name, by the end of its first season NBC’s hit series Heroes had managed to neatly wrap up the vast majority of its plot threads and running storylines. The cheerleader was saved; the sword was retrieved; and the exploding man was stopped. We didn’t watch the finale of the mystery island show that we’re not naming, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Locke was left speechless by the sight of Patrick Duffy in the shower. Had it all been a dream?

Some questions I have: Will they finally just get rid of Ali Larter’s dumbass subplot? Which lame, cliched plot element will they get me to fall for anyway?

Update: The answer to my second question: Amnesia.

  1. My one hope: Parkman dies. I hate that character.

Supposedly Ali Larter’s character is going to be more developed.

  2. Heh, did you see the article?

    Matt Parkman

    Strengths: Telepathy

Weaknesses: Incompetancy, Insatiable love of honey

    Hehehe.

I’ve never had a big problem with Parkman, but Ali Larter’s whole plotline was just so incredibly stupid. The husband, the kid, the stupid split personality powers. Yuk. That was too much characterization if you ask me.

  3. I’ve got to agree with mark to be honest, at least about Ali Larter, her character really annoyed the hell out of me in the end – I don’t want to sound like I’m just ragging on Heroes, because I’m not, it’s a fantastic well devised show, but her character just seemed a little pointless to me, and at the very least her story line had .. in my opinion anyway, a little too much focus considering the minor role she really played – I just found the segments with her a little to slow.

Parkman I can live with though – Don’t get me wrong, 5 bullets in the chest is pretty darn commendable, but he’s an interesting character.
